Meetings in Camouflage

Meetings.  Nothing much you can do about them, they're just gonna happen, and happen a lot they will.  You have to be careful with these things, you can end up leaving them with a lot more work on your plate than when you went in.  Most times when new work items are tabled in meetings and the boss asks who would like to take them on, there will be a moment of silence.  You have to fight your way thru times like this....stand your ground and just scribble something in your notebook, that should see you thru it.

Just remember the acronym - ASS - Always Stay Stationary

"Leave Me Alone"

If you're having one of "those days" at the office and really just don't want anyone to bother you....empty the dishwasher in the kitchen....the noise alone will keep people away, because NOBODY will want to help you.  The only person that might walk by will be management who'll be curious more than anything about who's doing the office dirty work....they'll rammer on about last nights hockey game, fill up their coffee cup, and continue on.

The thought-out sick day

If you plan on calling in sick on a Friday...it's best for you to come in hung over on Thursday AM.  Nobody needs to know you're hung over, so bring lots of gum, wear cologne, whatever it takes to get the booze off you.

So if you're not looking your best on Thursday, people won't be surprised if you don't make it in on Friday....plus you get to get drunk on a Wednesday!
